Charles Krueger, 68, Albert Lea

Memorial services for Charles Leroy Krueger of Albert Lea will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the St. John&8217;s Lutheran Home Chapel. The Rev. Jeff Laeger-Hagemeister will officiate. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the chapel.

Mr. Krueger died Monday morning, Dec. 3, 2007, at St John&8217;s Lutheran Home. He was 68 years of age.

Charles was born June 1, 1939, in Buffalo Center, Iowa, and attended public school in Fairmont. For the past 30 years he has made his home in Albert Lea. He was united in marriage to Patricia Hendrickson on Nov 4, 1983, in North Dakota.

Charles had been employed by the Petran Farms and retired from the Streater Co. after 23 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

Charles had a love for automobiles and enjoyed working on, tinkering with and buying and selling many over his lifetime. He was a very kind and gentle man with a great sense of humor.

Charles is survived by his wife Patricia of Albert Lea; children; David Krueger of Burnsville and Jill Krueger of Brighton, Colo.; and one stepson Jay Brown and his children Nathan and Marcus of Navajo, Calif.; one sister, Sharon Warner of Gulfport, Fla.; mother-in-law Dorothy Hendrickson of Albert Lea; sister in law Shirley (Dave) Yokiel of Albert Lea; and one nephew Rick (Cindy) Yokiel of Chanhassen.

He was preceded in death by his parents; niece Lori Brua; and brother-in-law Dean Warner.

Memorials preferred to Crossroads Community Hospice or St John&8217;s Lutheran Home.
