Charles &8220;Chuck&8221; Goette of Eugene, Ore., died Feb. 7, 2008, of pancreatic cancer. He was 67. No service is planned.

He was born March 20, 1940, in Albert Lea to William and Alice Brandt Goette. He graduated from Freeborn High School in 1958.

Goette served in the Navy from 1958 to 1962. He was a detective in the Eugene Police Department for 19 years.

Survivors include three sons, Jeff of Eugene, Ore., Kyle of Issaquah, Wash., and David of Tanzania; a daughter, Angela Robinson of Merrill, Ore.; a brother, Bill of Albert Lea; two sisters, Margaret Bartness of Albert Lea and Kathleen Peterson of Hartland; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Arrangements were by Andreason&8217;s Cremation & Burial Service in Springield, Ore. Remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society.
