At last week&8217;s boys&8217; swimming Big Nine Conference Meet in Austin, Albert Lea swimmers Chris Dorman and Matt Van Fossen earned all-conference recognition.

Van Fossen swam to a fourth place showing in the 200 individual medley for the Tigers touching the wall in 2:10.81. He also flexed his muscles in the 100 butterfly, his speciality, where he finished second in 55.14 improving his best time of the season.

Dorman excelled in his specialty &8212; the 100 breaststroke &8212; where he swam to a fifth place showing in 1:05.69.

The team will be in action again Thursday and Saturday for section competition in Inver Grove Heights.

sate cut times will proceed to the state meet Feb. 29 and March 1 at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center.
