Gladys Narverud, born in 1907, passed away on Feb. 9, 2008. Gladys was preceded in death by her husband Jake, her daughter Kathleen and her son, Gerald. She is survived by her eldest son, Earl Narverud of Denver, Colo., 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Gladys was the daughter of Martin and Anna Ackland. She attended Itaska school and was later married to Earl Jacob Narverud. They lived and operated a farm near Armstrong. Upon retiring, they moved to Bentonville, Ark. After her husbands death she moved to Thousand Oaks, Calif., where she resided with daughter Kathleen Hockel. After Kathleen&8217;s death she moved to Denver, Colo., for the remainder of her life. A private memorial service was held in Denver, Colo. Her remains will be interned at Graceland Cemetery, Albert Lea.
