WELLS &8212; The Hayfield girls&8217; basketball team downed United South Central 56-35 Thursday night.

Val Sahr led the Rebels with 15 points and Lauren Schuster added eight.

The Rebels played with Hayfield in the first half and trailed by just three points going into the locker room. However, Hayfield would outscore USC 32-14 in the second half to win.

USC finished the season with a 7-18 record and begins section play Tuesday at Maple River.
