The funeral service for Anne Barbara Anderson of
Albert Lea, formerly of New Richland, will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Trinity Lutheran Church, New Richland. The Rev. Paul Andree will officiate. Interment will be in St. Olaf Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Anne died Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at Albert Lea Medical Center. She was 91 years old.
Anne was born June 1, 1916, in Kiester, to Conrad and Anna (Scherb) Wipplinger and was baptized, confirmed and married at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Kiester. She attended Lutheran Academy at Waverly, Iowa, until she was asked to take care of two stroke patients in their home. She married George M. Anderson on Jan. 27, 1938. They then moved to New Richland where they farmed for 64 years before moving to Albert Lea due to Anne&8217;s health. She became a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and belonged to the ALCW and mission club. Her church was very important to her. Anne also belonged to the Helping Hands Extension Club for 35 years. She loved music, gardening and flowers. Her special love was for her family.
Anne is survived by her husband, George M. Anderson of Albert Lea; three children: Paul Andrew Anderson and his wife Margaret of New Richland, Mary June Krohn and her husband Larry of Hartland and Steven Allen Anderson and his wife Mary of Albert Lea; 10 grandsons and four granddaughters: Roxanne Broring, Laurie Stencel and her husband Jason, Tami Marsland and her husband Sam, Jeremy Anderson and his wife Gina, James Krohn and his wife Tammy, Paul Krohn, Mark Krohn and his fianc/e Melody, Timothy Krohn and his wife Brooke, Brian Anderson, Brad Anderson, Randy Anderson and his wife Becci, Kristine Anderson and special friend Shane, Jeff Anderson and special friend Keri, and Matt Anderson; five great-grandsons and nine great-granddaughters; brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
Anne is preceded in death by her parents; seven brothers and four sisters; and seven nieces and nephews.
