Leslie &8220;Les&8221; F. Petersen, 92, of Rochester, died Monday, March 3, 2008, at his home.

He was born Sept. 13, 1915, in Alden. He grew up in the Alden area. He

was married on Nov. 26, 1942, to Anna H. Boyer in Albert Lea and came to Kasson in 1957. Anna preceded him in death in 1987.

Les was a carpenter. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic, Kasson. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by sons: Marlin &8220;Pete&8221; (Linda) Petersen, Highlands Ranch, Colo., Gary &8220;Gar&8221; (Cheri) Petersen, Albert Lea, and Robert &8220;Bob&8221; Petersen, Mantorville; daughter: Mary (Kim) Schwenke, Prior Lake; daughter-in law, Joy Barclay, Bemidji; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, one son, one daughter, two brothers and two sisters.

There will be a private funeral service. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, Kasson, in the spring. Friends may call at the Dibble Funeral Home, Kasson, Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorials are preferred to the family.
