Vera &8220;Vonny&8221; Zimmerman, 82, Maryville, Mo., formerly of Albert Lea

and Rochester and Ravenwood, Mo., died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008, at St. Francis Hospital, Maryville, Mo.

She was born March 16, 1925, in Maryville, Mo., the daughter of Jack and Ore Amanda (Shannon) Meyers. She married Noble G. &8220;Babe&8221; Zimmerman on Sept. 30, 1944, in Troy, Kan.

A retired dental assistant, Vonny was a member of the First Christian Church, St. Joseph, Mo., where she had lived and worked many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother: Carl Meyers; and sisters: Geneva Meyers and Norma Seeger.

Survivors include her husband, Noble &8220;Babe,&8221; of their home in Maryville; aunts: Ruth Hall of Maryville and Fern Bollinger of Avon Lake, Ohio; and her very special niece and nephew, Shirley (Meyers) Benson and her husband Tom of Colesbury, Iowa, and Carol (Lenz) Scott, of Pequot Lakes; and many other nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army in Vonny&8217;s name.

Services were held Monday, Feb. 25, at Price Funeral Home Chapel, Maryville, Mo., with burial in Oxford Cemetery, Oxford, Mo.
