The runs came in bunches and United South Central&8217;s baseball team pounded Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton 14-2 in five innings Monday night at Janesville but that wasn&8217;t even the most interesting aspect of the game.
Every out the Rebels (3-3 overall, 2-1 Gopher) recorded came via the strike out.
&8220;I&8217;ve never seen anything like it,&8221; coach Pat Frank said. &8220;Not a put out in the field.&8221;
Darren Stenzel threw 12 of them in four innings and Nick Fure ended the fifth inning by striking out the side to end the game.
The offense was not nearly as impressive as the staff, but quite effective nevertheless.
Tom Voight reached base three times and stole three bags on the evening. Chris Schultz and Jake Bonsack had two hits apiece and drove in two as well.
