Clayton Esse, 83, Glenville

Funeral services for Clayton &8220;Buster&8221; Esse, 83, of Glenville will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Lutheran Church of Glenville. The Rev. Gail Klavetter will officiate. Interment will be at First Lutheran Cemetery, Glenville. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Buster died Monday, April 7, 2008, at Albert Lea Medical Center.
Clayton &8220;Buster&8221; Esse was born on Aug. 24, 1924, to Clarence and Julia (Gullickson) Esse in Albert Lea. Buster and his family moved to the family farm in Glenville when he was 11 years old. He attended Albert Lea High school and graduated in 1942. On Jan. 1, 1948, Buster and Elaine Heisley were joined in marriage. Together they enjoyed 60 blissful years of marriage and raised two children, Patty and Mark. Buster worked at Wilson & Co. and continued to work the family farm. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge. At a young age, he joined First Lutheran Church of Glenville, where he maintained his membership until his death. Buster enjoyed going to the lake to fish, taking vacations with Elaine and enjoyed the warm winters of Arizona.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine; children, Patricia (Richard) Stackhouse and Mark Esse; grandchildren, Rachel Engram, Aaron Engram, Jessica (John) Bronson and Jernelle Stoll; great-grandchild, Deisel Bronson; sister-in-law, Doris Branstad; and several nieces and nephews.
Buster was preceded in death by his parents; sister Gertrude Esse; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth (Justine) Esse; sisters-in-law, Ruth Schaar, Mable Wedeking and June Heisley.
