South Central Technical College Instructor and Albert Lea Firefighter Mark Light, along with fellow instructor Chuck Karl, will be holding a training session for new firefighters on Thursday evening at the Blazing Star Landing.

Cars will be set on fire in the southeast section of the lot. Firefighters from around the county will be participating.

High school conferences set for Monday

Conferences will be held at Albert Lea High School for grades 9 through 12 on Monday. Teachers, administrators and guidance counselors will be available to meet with parents and students between 3:30 and 7:30 p.m. in the Albert Lea High School gym. Please plan to attend. This is the last conference date of the school year.
