The United States Marine Corps Toy Run will gather on motorcycles at the American Legion Hall, 142 N. Broadway Ave. Saturday in Albert Lea, to raise funds to buy toys for children. The fundraiser is part of the Marines’ annual Toys for Tots drive. The motorcycle ride is organized by the Minnesota chapter of the Leathernecks Motorcycle Club.
Each rider needs to donate either one toy or $10. The proceeds are donated to the Salvation Army, which will have a truck present. Registration for the ride is from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. The motorcyles will roll out at about noon and return around 5 p.m. There will be prizes at the completion of the ride.
The ride rolls past many area lakes: Fountain Lake, Morin Lake, Freeborn Lake, Bear Lake, State Line Lake, Lower Twin Lake and Albert Lea Lake.
