Brandon Overland of Albert Lea was selected for a departmental scholarship for outstanding academic achievement at Bemidji State University. The scholarship will take effect at the beginning of the 2008-09 school year.

Overland, a sophomore majoring in technical illustration/graphic design, received the Great Lakes Gas Scholarship from the Department of Technological Studies.
