Man falls through awning and lands OK

Some weeks ago I was working on an awning above a business (Midwest Antiques) at the corner of Main Street and Broadway Avenue here in town.
The awning along Broadway was made differently from the one on the Main Street side. Through my own neglect, I did not pay enough attention to the differences of the awnings, and as a result, I fell through that one 10 feet down to the sidewalk, landed on my feet and nothing broke!
I was stunned in many ways, but really the point of this letter is to thank the guy, who, I assume, saw me fall and who was probably at work and on his way to somewhere and who went out of his way to come around to see if I was OK.
I can’t say I know the man, but he looked familiar, and I think he was driving a truck that said: “Total Glass Lock.”
