Gem Coast, which sells gas to boaters at City Beach, has a Fourth of July schedule for gas on Fountain Lake. Due to the fireworks setup there will be no fueling after 2 p.m. Fueling will resume at 1 p.m. Saturday.

Independence Day fireworks will be fired off near dusk — about 10 p.m. — at City Beach in Albert Lea on Friday. The fireworks are sponsored by the Albert Lea-Freeborn County Chamber of Commerce.
