The Green Bay Packers versus Brett Favre
I am sad because I can see both sides, but I still want to see the best quarterback ever to come back and start for the Packers, beat the Vikings twice-again, lead the Pack to the Super Bowl, win it and then retire.
As far as Aaron Rodgers, I do not care what happens to him right now. You can trade him, but I would rather start the season with a man who has started every game since the early 1990s versus someone who has a couple of passes under his belt.
I think you blame everything on the Vikings for tampering and come together as a team. The Packers with Brett are better than without him.
Go Packers!
Go Brett!
The Cubs are in first place! Yeah!!!
The Twins are playing great baseball right now and it is because of Ron Gardenhire and the great farm system that the Twins have. The youngsters have been very impressive. Nobody thought they would be gunning for first after the all-star break and just look at them. They play hard night after night.
Drugs are bad!
Former Olympic track star Marion Jones has asked President Bush to commute her six-month prison sentence for lying to federal agents about her use of performance-enhancing drugs and a check-fraud scam. After frequently denying that she ever used performance-enhancing drugs, Jones admitted she lied to federal investigators. Jones also admitted lying about her knowledge of the involvement of Tim Montgomery, the father of her older son, in a scheme to cash millions of dollars worth of stolen or forged checks. Jones was sentenced to eight months in prison and 400 hours of community service. She was sentenced to six months on the steroids case and two months on the check-fraud case, but was permitted to serve those sentences concurrently. I sure hope that President Bush does not pardon Marion Jones, because she got off with a hand slap for all the lying she did. You treat her like you would anyone else and let her serve her time. She is no Olympic champion — how would you like to be her teammates who worked hard and had to give their Olympic medals back because of Marion Jones. Go serve your time — it is the least you can do for all that you did.
Wow!
Minnesota Twin first baseman Justin Morneau is having a great couple of weeks — winning the home run contest at Yankee Stadium and then the next night scoring the winning run in the All Star game. Wow! All in front of over 40 Hall of Famers — double wow! Or should I say wow-eh!
