Albert Lea police and Freeborn County deputies searched Hawthorne Elementary School, located between Johnson and Hawthorne Streets, after a report of a possible break-in shortly after 9 p.m. Sunday. A complete search of the building indicated there were no damages or loss of property, according to a police department spokesman.

Two cited for fight

A fight on Lakeview Boulevard near the Abbott Street corner just after 2 p.m. Sunday resulted in two people being cited by Albert Lea police officers.

According to a police report, Ryan Jacob Peterson, 18, no address listed, was cited for failure to render aid to an officer. One the same reportt, Joshua Ervin Thorson, 18, no address listed, was cited for obstructing an officer and reckless conduct.
