The Albert Lea High School graduating class of 1938 met Aug. 16 at the Albert Lea Elks Club. From 11 a.m. to noon, the hour was spend renewing old acquaintances and discussing memories of years gone by.
At noon, lunch was served. A business meeting was held and it was decided a full reunion might not be possible in the future. It was decided that Friday, Aug. 14, 2009, those available would gather for a get together luncheon with each individual selecting from the menu. A letter will be sent as a reminder in June.
It was also decided to present a check for $500 to the Albert Lea School Foundation in honor of class members.
Following the gathering at the Elks the group took part in a cruise on the new Albert Lea Pelican Breeze.
