Freeborn County 4-H’ers excel at State 4-H Dog Show

Sixteen Freeborn County youths participated in the 4-H State Dog Show Sept. 20 and 21 on the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. Results are as follows:

Jasmine Brouwers, Bath-Geneva 4-H: Champion agility advanced-all grades, two blue ribbon awards in agility jumpers 3 — all grades, reserve champion in agility senior — all grades, reserve champion obedience graduate novice — grades 9-13 and reserve champion in open showmanship — grades 9-13.

Gage Flatness, Hartland 4-H: Blue in showmanship novice — grades 7-8.

Noelle Hagen, Freeman 4-H: Reserve champion in agility jumpers 2 — grades 6-8, blue ribbon in agility senior — all grades and red ribbon in obedience open-all grades

Rachel Hagen, Freeman 4-H: Reserve champion in agility elementary — grades 4-8, blue ribbons in obedience novice — grades 4-6 and showmanship open — grades 4-5.

Destiny Hill, Bath-Geneva 4-H: Red ribbon in agility beginner — grades 4-8, blue ribbons in obedience beginner A — grade 4 and showmanship novice — grade 4.

Jade Hill, Bath-Geneva 4-H: Reserve champion agility beginner — grades 4-8, red ribbon in agility jumpers 1 — grades 4-8, blue ribbons in obedience four-dog team, obedience graduate beginner — grades 4-5 and showmanship open — grades 4-5.

Hailey Johnson, Hartland 4-H: Reserve champion obedience graduate beginner — grades 8, blue ribbons in obedience four-dog team, obedience beginner B and showmanship open.

Presley Johnson, Hartland 4-H: Reserve champion obedience graduate beginner — grade 6, blue ribbons in obedience four-dog team and showmanship open.

Nichelle Klatt, Twin Lakes 4-H: Champion agility jumpers 2 — grades 9-13, blue ribbons in agility jumpers 2 — grades 9-13 and agility senior — all grades.

Heather Malakowsky, Hartland 4-H: Blue ribbon in agility jumpers 2 grades 9-13 and red ribbon in agility senior — all grades.

Melissa Malakowsky, Hartland 4-H: Blue ribbon in obedience graduate beginner grades 4-5, and award of excellence in showmanship open.

Annika Pederson, Twin Lakes 4-H: Blue ribbons in obedience novice — grades 4-6 and showmanship novice grade 6.

Josh Sime, Alden 4-H: Award of excellence in agility elementary, grades 9-13, white ribbon in agility intermediate — all grades, and blue ribbons in agility jumpers 1 — grades 9-13 and obedience beginner B — grades 11-13.

Peter Szymanski, Freeborn 4-H: Red in obedience novice grade 10.

Kelly Wessling, Conger 4-H: Champion in agility beginner — grades 9-13, reserve champion agility jumpers 1 — grades 9-13, blue ribbons in agility jumpers 2 — grades 9-13, obedience four-dog team, obedience grad beginner — grades 9-10 and red ribbon in obedience pre-open-all grades.

Kate Wittmer, Conger 4-H: White ribbon in agility jumpers 2 — grades 11-13, blue ribbons in obedience beginner B, grades 11-13, and obedience brace grades 9-13.
