Genealogical society meets Monday

Several members of the Freeborn County Genealogical Society visited and did family research at the LDS Family Library in Salt Lake City, Utah, Sept. 28 to Oct. 3). Members who made the trip were: Pat Mulso, Arnie Mulso, Linda Evenson, Vickie Storlie, Cathy Wittmer, Ardus Sanderson, Kaye Klukow, JoAnne Johnsrud, Ada Kuethe, Roger Lonning and Marge Lonning.

They will be sharing their family history library research experiences at the FCGS meeting at 7 p.m. Monday in the Freeborn County Historical Museum meeting room.

Also, the FCGS nominating committee (Sonja Johnson, Lois Ahern and Pat Mulso) will be submitting a slate of officers and directors for 2009: President Linda Evenson, Vice President Carl Grandstrand, Secretary Kaye Klukow, Treasurer Millie Roberts and directors: Pat Goldman and Roger Lonning (two-year terms). The election will be held at the November meeting.

The FCGS meets on the second Monday of each month at 7 p.m.

People interested in genealogy and visitors are invited. Please use the north entrance to the museum, located on the fairgrounds.
