Duane Hatleli insulted my Christian beliefs, my teaching career, and my political philosophy all in one sad letter. Tsk!

I will not discuss religion, but his remarks concerning “brainwashing” were especially disconcerting! I taught English for 34 years (29 in Albert Lea), and the subject of religion and politics was hardly ever discussed. A solid foundation in the use of English grammar and a positive outlook on life were what I wanted my students to absorb!

By the way, Duane, I am voting for Barack Obama, Al Franken, Tim Walz (a teacher), and Robin Brown (another teacher)! Have a good day!
