Ervin Jerome Kruckeberg, 70, was not cited for DWI or leaving the scene of an accident after a hit-and-run car wreck at 6:57 p.m. Wednesday. Kruckeberg was actually the victim of the hit-and-run incident. Police cited Ronald Sorenson with fourth-degree DWI and leaving the scene of an accident, according to Albert Lea Police Lt. Jeff Strom.

Driver cited

Dana Alan Plotts, 33, no address listed, was cited by Albert Lea officers Thursday afternoon on felony charges of DWI, refusal to test and felony fleeing, according to the police report.

Purse stolen

Albert Lea police are investigating a report that a purse was stolen at the Albert Lea Public Library sometime just prior to 8 p.m. Thursday. The police report said the owner of this purse quickly canceled all the credit cards.
