As much as Robin Brown has accomplished in her first term in the Minnesota legislature, think what this successful experience will enable her to accomplish in her second term! I encourage voters of District 27A to return Robin Brown to the Minnesota House.

One positive accomplishment Robin has supported is the funding for our roads and bridges. Remember that some tax increases are essential, especially improvements and maintenance of roads and bridges which all of us use.

Other legislation supported by Robin include property-tax relief and increased school funding including special education programs.

Now for the gorillas. This expenditure was included in the 2008 bonding bill, which covered many many projects across the state, including funding for the Edgewater Park cleanup right here in Albert Lea. The legislative bonding committee toured the state seeking community input for projects that should be included in the bonding bill. The gorillas were part of funding requested for the Minnesota Zoo. Every legislator who ultimately voted for the bonding bill thus voted for the gorillas!
