ALMC ophthalmologist named Costin Scholar

Ophthalmologist Leonid Skorin Jr. recently completed the one-year requirements of the Costin Institute for Osteopathic Medical Educators and is now considered a Costin Scholar.
A Costin Scholar demonstrates ability to teach, do research and lead with distinction and has an understanding of the educational process. The Costin Institute is a program administered by Midwestern University. Skorin attended courses on the university’s Chicago, Ill., and Glendale, Ariz., campuses.
Skorin joined Albert Lea Medical Center in 2000 as a comprehensive ophthalmologist with an emphasis on cataract and glaucoma surgery.
