Thank you for donating to the United Way of Freeborn County. Last year, our county was able to meet the goal of $562,000. It was a great feat.

This year’s goal is $592,000, quite a bit more than last year. The campaign’s leaders have worked and worked and worked to bring the community closer to the fundraising target.

And though most people — including us — call the set amount a goal, the United Way organization likes to call it a need because they don’t just pull the number out of the air. They actually calculate how much social-service agencies that partner with United Way will need to assist less-fortunate folks in Freeborn County. Your donation helps actual people, and that’s the reason you give.
