VFW Minnesota First District Veterans of Foreign Wars and its Ladies Auxiliary will meet in Kenyon on Sunday, hosted by Conrad Osthum VFW Post 141.

First District Commander Gary Rehder of Cannon Falls and First District President Laurie Dale, Kenyon, will preside over the meetings.

Debbie Tweet of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota VFW Ladies Auxiliary chaplain, will be the department representative. Don Dallman, Cambridge, junior vice commander, will be the VFW department representative.

VFW members will meet at the VFW Post Home (601 Second St.) and the Ladies Auxiliary members will hold their meeting at the Kenyon-Wanamingo High School located at 400 Sixth St.

Meetings will begin at 9 a.m. with a lunch to follow around noon at the Kenyon Post Home. Poppy displays must be in place (at the Post Home) by 9 a.m. for district judging.

Schools of instruction will be on Americanism, extension, hospital and veterans and family support. Auxiliary presidents, secretaries and treasurers will be honored at this auxiliary meeting.
