The town hall meeting with the founder and president of a nationally known watchdog group for nursing homes will be at the Albert Lea Inn at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
At the meeting, Wes Bledsoe of nonprofit organization A Perfect Cause will be in attendance to speak about the alleged abuse at Good Samaritan Society of Albert Lea and to give people the opportunity to voice their opinions as well.
Bledsoe spoke on NBC’s “Today” show about the case last week after adult charges were filed against two Albert Lea High School graduates and juvenile charges against four others. All of them are now teenage women.
While he’s in Minnesota, he also plans to talk with the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office, the Freeborn County Attorney’s Office and Freeborn County Public Health, he said.
People can contact Bledsoe by e-mail at wes@aperfectcause.org or by phone at (405)308-3858.
