Susan Welnel, a licensed psychologist, has joined the behavioral health department at Albert Lea Medical Center — part of Mayo Health System. She sees patients on the first floor of Fountain Centers.

Welnel provides assessment and treatment for various problems, including depression, anxiety, stress, adjustment disorders, abuse and related issues, posttraumatic stress disorder, grief, loss and a range of interpersonal disorders. She works primarily with adults and geriatrics and will see older adolescents.

Welnel received her degree from Argosy University in Eagan and previously worked at MeritCare Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls.
