The U.S. Census Bureau will begin testing in Austin and Albert Lea on Friday for filling positions needed in the 2010 census.

The Census Bureau plans to hire thousands in Minnesota for the tally that happens every 10 years. People interested can call (612) 216-5970 or (866) 861-2010 to schedule a testing appointment. The bureau pays prevailing wages and 55 cents a mile.
