It wasn’t pretty but the Northwood-Kensett boys’ basketball team dug itself out of a eight-point deficit at the start of the fourth quarter Friday night for a 42-37 win over North Iowa.

The Vikings (12-8, 7-7) struggled early on and were down nine at halftime, but Northwood-Kensett outscored the Bison 14-1 in the fourth quarter for the win.

Trevor Davidsion led the Vikings with 19 points as they picked up a win before the regional playoffs begin.

Northwood-Kensett will host Newman Catholic Thursday in the first round.
