It’s been a difficult stretch for the United South Central girls’ basketball team and Thursday was no different in a 57-37 loss to Hayfield in Hayfield.
Vikings standout Kiley Severson had her way inside as the Rebels (11-10, 8-4) had no answer for her and her 19 points.
While Severson dominated inside, Jordyn Krekling was able to hit shots from the perimeter, which created a deadly combination against USC. Krekling finished with 16 points.
“We struggling right now,” said Rebels head coach Stu Hendrickson, whose team lost its fifth consecutive game. “The confidence is dwindling.”
Danielle Koestler led USC with eight points.
The schedule will continue to be difficult for the Rebels as they face Blooming Prairie (15-4) Friday in Blooming Prairie.
