Al Batt to speak Wednesday in Clarks Grove

Al Batt will speak at a soup, sandwich and dessert luncheon at noon Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Clarks Grove. The lunch is for those 55 years and older and will be served by the Pacesetters Group, the senior adult ministry.
Batt, from Hartland, is a writer, speaker, storyteller and humorist. He writes humor and nature columns for newspapers and does a regular radio show about nature on a number of radio stations. He writes for a few popular cartoon strips that are syndicated nationally. He’s even written jokes for a former president of the United States.
Batt has also written for numerous magazines and books, including the “Chicken Soup for the Soul” series. He is a contributing writer to the book, “Minnesota Bird Watching.” He appears each week on “Memories and Musings by Al Batt” on KSMQ-TV.
