An exhibit and pancake breakfast will be held on Sunday at the Albert Lea American Legion Club, 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., hosted by the Freeborn County Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 447. Displays will include photos taken by several veterans who served in various branches of the Armed Forces during the Vietnam War era, years 1960 through 1975. The breakfast, open to the public, will include pancakes, eggs, sausage, potatoes, juice and coffee. Cost is adults $6 and $3 under 10 years old.
Minnesota has established March 29 as a day to honor Vietnam-era veterans. As part of the recognition leading up to March 29, Veterans of Foreign War Post 447, American Legion Post 56 in Albert Lea and the local Disabled American Veterans will recognize the Vietnam War veterans with picture displays on Sunday.
Another breakfast will be at the Legion Hall on March 22.
