Albert Lea Police Officer Jacob Stockwell will conduct training in support of the city’s Best Practices Program at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 19. The training will take place in the historic courtroom at the Freeborn County Government Center, 411 S. Broadway Ave, Albert Lea.

The Best Practices Program requires 75 percent of an establishment’s servers to attend training within 60 days of hire.

The purpose of the program is to encourage liquor license holders to voluntarily undertake practices that will help avoid sales to underage buyers. A licensed establishment that participates in the program will be subject to a modified schedule of presumptive penalties.
