The arrests came as part of an ongoing investigation by the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office involving a group of younger people in the county selling ecstasy.

According to court documents, Porter’s first charge came in relation to an incident Jan. 6, after she allegedly sold a drug task force informant two red ecstasy pills for $30. The sale allegedly took place in the parking lot by the Academy Apartments, which is close to the hockey rink in Academy Park. This is considered a park zone.

Documents state there were several young players in the hockey rink at the time of the sale. The pills were submitted to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension where analysis of one of them revealed it contained meth, cocaine and ecstasy.

Porter’s second charge came after an incident Jan. 23, when she allegedly sold a drug task force informant 16 ecstasy pills for $20 per pill. The sale also allegedly took place in Academy Apartments parking lot, according to court papers.

Reports indicate the pills weighed 4 grams. They contained ecstasy.

Her third charge came from an incident on Jan. 26 when Porter allegedly sold 10 ecstasy pills for $185 to a drug task force informant at her residence on Frank Hall Drive, according to court documents. The pills field-tested positive as ecstasy.

The second-degree drug sales charges carry a maximum penalty of 25 years in prison and a $500,000 fine. The fourth-degree sales charge carries a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison and a $100,000 fine.

Vokoun’s charges came after an incident on Dec. 21, 2008, when he allegedly sold 10 blue ecstasy pills for $120 near a residence on Hawthorne Street.

The pills were sent to the state BCA, where they tested as 2.9 grams containing meth and ecstasy.

Vokoun’s third-degree meth sale carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
