Mildred Conlan, 89

Mildred I. Conlan, 89, of Watertown, Wis., formerly of Albert Lea, died Monday evening, April 27, 2009, at Watertown Regional Medical Center.
Mildred was born Oct. 4, 1919, in Lanesboro, the daughter of James and Isabell (Hanson) Campbell. She married Francis G. Conlan in July 1936 in Preston and was the mother of nine boys and four girls. Francis died Jan. 26, 1967. In her later years she traveled to Ireland and Europe.
She is survived by 11 children: John (Jeannie) Conlan of Milwaukee, Wis., Pat (Dee) Conlan of Watertown, Mike (Chris) Conlan of Grand Marais, Kathy (Ralph) Tredup of Elgin, Ill., Rosemary (Tom) Strain of Wykoff, Dennis (Jeannie) Conlan of Phoeniz, Ariz., Fred (Jan) Conlan of Reeds Landing, Bob (Debbie) Conlan of Watertown, Steve (Judy) Conlan of Watertown, Kevin (Gayle) Conlan of Watertown and Lori (George) Messier of Fort Atkinson, Wis.; 31 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Carmen (Julie) Campbell of Lanesboro.
Besides her parents and husband, Mildred was preceded in death by one son, Joe; daughter, Margaret Ann Neis; grandchildren: Donnie and Casey Conlan and Ray Neis; brothers: Gordon and Robert Campbell; and twin sister, Margaret Kruegel.
The funeral Mass will be 11 a.m., Friday, at St. Columban Catholic Church in Preston, with the Rev. Russell Scepaniak officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Rochester.
Friends may call at the Thauwald Funeral Home in Preston 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday and at the church on Friday an hour before the service. There will be a prayer service at the funeral home 6:30 p.m., Thursday.
