Lake Mills starter Josie Brackey has been lights out on the mound in her last three starts and it’s a good thing for the Bulldog offense.
Brackey gave up just one run on one hit Monday in a 2-1 win over Garner-Hayfield in Lake Mills. In the past three games Brackey has allowed one run on two basehits while striking out 38 hitters. Brackey, a freshman, now has 139 strikeouts in 12 games, that’s an 11.5 per game average.
Morgan Aalgaard came through with a two-run homer in the third inning to lift the Lake Mills (10-2 overall, 3-1 NIC) offense which has produced six runs of support in the past two games.
The Cardinals scored their only run of the game on a wild pitch in the sixth inning.
