The Stadheim Jewelers Junior Classic golf tournament took place Monday at Green Lea Golf Course.

The tournament for golfers 18-and-under had a strong turnout of younger players. There were four age groups and champions were crowned in each.

Sam Matheson and Tyler Brackey both shot 77 in the 16-to-18-year-old group, but Matheson defeated Brackey on the second playoff hole to win the tournament. Tyler Haaland finished third.

In the 14-to-15-year-old group Alex Thorson shot an 83 to win. Nate Stadheim finished second and Lucas Peterson took third.

In the 12-to-13-year-old division Ted Urch won with a 79. Ben Konold and Adam Syverson tied for second with 88s and Blake Ries took third with a 92.

In the 11-and-under group Sam Chalmers won with a 46. Brock Carstens was second with a 49 and Max Brick shot 51 to take third place.
