Bulldog volleyball wins Central Springs tournament

The Lake Mills volleyball team moved to 12-2 on the season with a tournament win in Manly Saturday at the Central Springs tournament.
The Bulldogs got past CAL 21-10, 21-14; Clarksville 21-10, 21-6; Rockford 21-10, 21-8; Eagle Grove 21-4, 21-14; and Central Spring 21-15, 21-15 in the championship game.
“I am very happy with the girls,” said Lake Mills head coach Jim Boehmer. “We have the chance to surprise people, including ourselves.”
Morgan Fjelstad recorded 68 assists during the four games while Darcy Nelson led the team with 27 kills. Josie Brackey added 24 kills while Lindy Pins had 17 and Amanda Lampman 16.
Lampman also had 10 blocks and 16 digs to lead the Bulldogs.
Lake Mills faces Osage Tuesday on the road.
