James Tuberty, 84

James Thomas Tuberty, B.G. US Army (RET), 84, of Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla., passed away on Friday, Aug. 28, 2009. After serving his country in the US Armed Forces for 31 years and surviving combat assignments in three wars, World War II, the Korean War and Vietnam War, he lost his eight month battle with cancer while at home with his family.
Born in Albert Lea on July 14, 1925, to James and Beulah Tuberty, he is survived by his wife of 61 years, Beverly (Erickson) Tuberty; his two daughters: Yvonne and Virginia; and four grandchildren: Heather, Eric, Lindsay, and Patrick; and one great grandchild, Charlotte; his sister, Joan Tuberty; his brother, Robert Tuberty.
A burial will take place at Arlington National Cemetery on Nov. 18, 2009.
