Katherine Brackey

The memorial service for Katherine Brackey, 52, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 9, 2009, at St. Theodore Catholic Church. The Rev. Jim Berning will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at St. Theodore Cemetery.
Katherine died on Monday, Sept. 14, 2009, at University Medical Center in Las Vegas, Nev.
Katherine was born Aug. 27, 1957, to Arlan and Evelyn Brackey in Albert Lea. She attended Albert Lea High School, graduating in 1975. She was very active in sports, especially softball and volleyball. Katherine worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Albert Lea and Rochester. She was a member of St. Theodore. Katherine loved feeding and watching birds, playing cards ad making bead jewelry.
Katherine is survived by her daughter, Jamie Green of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; mother, Evelyn Brackey of Albert Lea; brothers: Ron (Kim) Brackey of Winona, Wanye Brackey of Albert Lea, David Brackey of Albert Lea; sisters: Cheryl (Bernie) Hagen of Hartland, Karen Englestad of Thief River Falls, Mary Brackey of Crystal and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Katherine was preceded in death by her father, Arlan. Memorials preferred to the family. Blessed be her memory.
