The Church Ladies of Central Freeborn Lutheran Church sponsored a bus trip Nov. 28 to “Away in the Basement’ at the Plymouth Playhouse Theater in Plymouth. “Away in the Basement” is the “Church Basement Women” Christmas musical comedy.

The cast consisted of three older ladies, one young lady and a male Lutheran pastor performing a Christmas musical in a Lutheran church. Do you have to be Lutheran to appreciate the play? No, but it sure helps to have roots in Minnesota.

On the way home, the group stopped at the Old Country Buffet.
