Permits issued for MCB and KFC projects

Building permits were issued during November by the Albert Lea Inspection Department for an addition to the Minnesota Corrugated Box plant, 2200 Y.H. Hanson Ave., and for a new Kentucky Fried Chicken Restaurant at 2221 E. Main St.
The permit for MCB Properties LTD has a valuation of $440,000 and the permit for Stewart Properties LLC to convert the former Starbucks store into a KFC has a valuation of $!80.000.
The city’s report shows 32 building permits with a valuation of $939,384 were issued in November. This increases the total valuation for permits issued during the first 11 months of the year to $12,838,886.
At the end of November 2008, the city’s report shows a permit valuation total of $12,193,726.
A November permit with a valuation of $50,000 was also issued to Naeve Health Care Association for a utility room remodeling.
Permits for two new homes were the highlights for the latest report from the Freeborn County Planning and Zoning Office. During November this county office issued 17 building permits with a listed valuation of $544,489. This increases the estimated valuation for county-issued permits to $22,876,469 for the first 11 months of the year.
