3 arrested for drug sales

Three men from Albert Lea were arrested Thursday for reportedly selling a large amount of methamphetamine to an undercover agent.

According to a news release, the arrest was conducted by the South Central Drug Task Force, the South Eastern Drug Task Force, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office and the Albert Lea Police Department. The names of the three men or the amounts of meth sold have not been released.

The men are expected to appear in court today.

Traffic crashes reported

Two injury traffic crashes were reported Thursday in Albert Lea.

According to police reports, the first crash was reported at 12:08 p.m. Thursday at 2707 Bridge Ave.

One woman was transported by ambulance to the Albert Lea Medical Center.

The second crash, near the intersection of State Highway 13 and Sunset Street, reportedly took place at 3:08 p.m. Thursday.

According to reports, two people were transported to Albert Lea Medical Center.
