Ann “Papa Ann” Trytten, 81, of Ocean Springs, Miss., passed away peacefully Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009.
Ann Marie was born on July 26, 1928, to Jens and Alma Bonnerup of Albert Lea, where she grew up, attended school and met Gordon Trytten, whom she later married on March 12, 1946. The couple lived and raised their five children in Albert Lea until 1974 when they decided to move to Florida where they lived for several years. Following Gordon’s death, Ann relocated to Ocean Springs and spent the last years of her life near her eldest son, Greg and his family. Papa Ann’s loving nature, wit, and unique personality will be greatly missed.
Ann is survived by her five children and their spouses: Karen and Alan Dorr of Northport, Fla., Peggy Paulson and Dan Wylie of Bradenton, Fla., Greg and Barbara Trytten of Vancleave, Miss., Georgia and Robert Williams of Bluffton, S.C., and Gary and Dana Trytten of Orlando, Fla. Ann is also survived by her grandchildren: Robin and Jeff Young, Cory and Kristie Paulson, Chad and Stephanie Paulson, Benta and Rodney Tanner, Meredith and Tony Lee, Kristin Trytten, Brent Kahnke, Alicia Bossardt, Dana Williams, Gerrod Trytten, Casey Trytten; great- grandchildren: Cody and Jessica, Jesse, Baylee, Toby, Holly, Noah, Preston, Parker, Katelyn, Ella, Hunter, Ashtin, Catherine, Anna, Jason, Anthony and one great-great-grandchild, Madisyn Marie.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Jens and Alma Bonnerup; husband, Gordon Trytten; and her brother, Robert Bonnerup.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held Friday at Hope Lutheran Church in Bradenton, Fla., where she will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Memorial Garden.
