Tigers get second consecutive victory

The Albert Lea boys’ hockey team picked up its second consecutive victory Thursday with a 5-1 rout of Owatonna in Owatonna.

Eric Carlson and Dillon Stolt each scored two goals and each finished with four points.

The Huskies took a 1-0 lead in 33 seconds into the game, but Carlson and Stolt responded quickly.

Carlson scored his first goal at 2:56 and Stolt scored an unassisted goal at 5:11 to give the Tigers (6-8-1) the lead.

Levi Hacker added a power-play goal in the second period while Carlson and Stolt struck again in the third period.

The green line of Stolt, Carlson and Hacker accounted for all the goals for Albert Lea.

The Tigers face Red Wing Saturday in Red Wing.
