Published 8:23 am Tuesday, January 26, 2010
Westbound Interstate 90 between Albert Lea and the South Dakota border will open at 8:30 a.m.
The section of I-90 had been closed since Monday at about 3 p.m. because of low visibility caused by blowing snow.
Southbound I-35 from Albert Lea to the Iowa border and both directions of I-35 from the Iowa border to Ames, Iowa, remains closed until further notice.
According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, current driving conditions in southeastern Minnesota are fair, and motorists should still use extreme caution when traveling.
