Editor’s note: This is the fifth in a series.

Nearly all the scenes shown in a slide show presented by the late Bidney Bergie had a strong area connection. Some of these scenes were based on older photos that had been given to him by people who felt they were worth preserving for historical reasons. Other photos were from his own collection of current scenes he took with his personal camera.

However, there were some slides based on illustrations likely taken from magazines and other sources that were actually scenes photographed elsewhere in the nation. Yet, they could easily have a connection with the Albert Lea area. One of those slides is with this presentation.

Bergie had a real interest in antique cars. Thus, some of his slides featured vehicles that actually were never owned by anyone in the area. One of those slides has also been selected as a part of this special presentation.
