Thanks to Grahn for teaching dancing

I am neither a volunteer with the Red Cross nor do I represent it; however, as a citizen who appreciates the workings of the Red Cross, I do wish to extend a thank you to Roberta Grahn, dance instructor from “Dance Yourself Silly” located in the Skyline Plaza. I am aware of her volunteerism in regards to the forthcoming Red Cross “Dancing With the Freeborn County Stars” fundraiser.
My husband, Greg, and I and a handful of others are taking lessons in preparation for a upcoming Youth For Christ/Prairie River Camp’s “Fireproof Ball,” for which we need to know how to dance. I have maybe “danced” a handful of times in my lifetime, including a dance or two at my high school proms — more than 27 years ago! We are that couple who watch others dance at weddings. I am that gal who rents all the romantic dance movies and until recently I never thought I would know how to dance or have the confidence to do so.
Thank you to Roberta for teaching and encouraging this past non-dancer. I now have confidence to be one of the couples dancing at the next wedding and not always the watcher. Maybe Greg will even dip me!
I would encourage others out there to take lessons. It’s fun, it’s good exercise and Roberta will make sure you have an enjoyable experience. Thank you again, Roberta, you are a wonderful teacher!
