Wayne Kosmoski

Funeral services for Wayne E. Kosmoski of Owatonna, formerly of Albert Lea, will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, March 15, 2010, at St. Theodore Catholic Church. The Rev. James Beming and Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday at the church. Interment will be in St. Theodore Cemetery.
Wayne died Sunday, March 7, 2010, at his home in Owatonna. He was 60 years of age.
Wayne was born July 12, 1949, in Albert Lea, the son of Eugene and Joy (Walk) Kosmoski. He graduated from Albert Lea High School and attended Mankato State University.
Wayne had been an employee ofFreebom County before moving to Owatonna where he has been employed by Farner Bocken for several years. He was a member of the Elks in Owatonna and the Sons of the American Legion in Albert Lea.
Wayne loved bowling and the Minnesota Twins. He was a softball umpire in southern Minnesota for many years.
Wayne is survived by his children: Eric and his wife, Heather, of Okinawa, Japan; Bryan and his wife, Sarah, of Hastings; Krista and her husband, David Dickman, of Shakopee. There are eight grandchildren: Drake, Chesska, Justis, Nika, Desmond, Kendra, Macy and Katherine. Siblings include Cindy (Randy) Bottelson of Eden Prairie, Linda (Gregg) Sainsbury of Hutchinson, Jayne (Dale) Warner of Maple Grove and Rick Bergstrom of Clarks Grove.
There are also several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Eugene, and his stepfather, Eslie Bergstrom, and grandparents.
